Instead of the typical pre-meet scratches that come out the night before a meet, the Longhorn Elite Invite is actually growing. Texas training partners Laura Sogar, Lisa Boyce and Brett Ringgold are new additions to the heat sheets compared to the psych sheets we saw earlier in the week.

Full heat sheets here

Sogar jumps into the 200 breast, where she’s the immediate favorite to win. With just 10 swimmers entered, Sogar’s top competition is Georgia Bulldog Annie Zhu.

Boyce joins the 100 free and 100 fly. She’s the 4th seed in the former and seeded 2nd in the latter.

Ringgold will now swim the 100 freestyle and is seeded 12th in what should be a pretty loaded event. We singled it out as one of our 5 races to watch in Austin.

Michael Phelps still appears on track to swim all four of his entered races. His only double of the meet would come Friday, where he’s set to swim the 100 free and 100 fly at opposite ends of the event lineup. He’s the top seed in both races, but should have some stiff competition, especially from Texas Longhorn Jack Conger in both races.
