Regan Holstein, a current senior from Ashburn, Virginia, has committed to swim for D1 Duquesne University. Holstein will graduate from Briar Woods High School in May 2020 and join the Duquesne Duke’s class of 2024 under head coach David Sheets.
Holstein, a backstroke and freestyle swimmer, is a 5-time Virginia 5A State Championship finalist for Briar Wood High School swimming.
She is currently swimming for club Snow Swimming as she prepares for her college swim career at Duquesne.
With her current best time, Holstein would have placed 16th in the 200 backstroke (2:04.81) at the Atlantic 10 Conference Championships.
At the Atlantic 10 Championships this year, the Duquesne women placed 1st as a team. They took the lead from day one of the swim meet and never faltered until they were crowned champions.
In addition, multiple team records fell to the Dukes and 4 of their swimmers were named to the Atlantic 10 All-Academic team.
Holstein will begin her swimming career at Duquesne University beginning fall 2020.
