Shanna Haddow, who currently trains with Team Suffolk Swim Club on Long Island, will continue her swimming career at Sacred Heart University. Haddow is a versatile freestyler who will contribute right away for the Pioneers:

  • 50 freestyle- 25.89
  • 100 freestyle- 54.89
  • 200 freestyle- 1:58.09
  • 500 freestyle- 5:15.10

While none of those times would have scored points at the 2015 NEC Conference Championships, Haddow would have made the C-Final in both the 500 freestyle. In addition, Haddow could have swum a leg on Sacred Heart’s 800 freestyle relay last year, as their slowest split was over 2:00.

In addition, Haddow’s 500 freestyle would have been the best on the Pioneers last year. Haddow could also contend for a spot on Sacred Heart’s 400 and 200 freestyle relays in her first year. Sacred Heart finished 4th out of six teams in the NEC, but they have a big gap to close on third place Saint Francis if they want to move up in the conference standings.
