ST. LOUIS – Saint Louis swimming and diving concluded the regular season with dual-meet victories over Missouri-St. Louis Saturday afternoon at Simon Recreation Center.

The Billikens prevailed 141-65 in the women’s meet and 116.5-97.5 in the men’s competition.

The Saint Louis seniors were honored prior to swimming their final meet at Simon Rec.

The SLU women won all 12 events, led by double winners Pola Luckiewicz and Katie Schmude. Luckiewicz touched first in the 50 free (24.57) and 100 free (53.90), while Schmude captured victories in the 100 back (59.43) and 100 breast (1:09.65).

For the men’s team, Collin O’Brien collected victories in the 200 IM (1:56.16) and 100 breast (57.44). O’Brien was joined by Keegan PaulsonJanssen Gamilla and Grant Streid for a win in the 200 medley relay (1:32.52).

Paulson and Jason Ruka won the 100 back (51.40) and 1-meter diving (112.70), respectively.

The Billikens compete in the Atlantic 10 Conference Championships Feb. 19-22 at the Spire Institute in Geneva, Ohio.

ST. LOUIS, MO. – The University of Missouri-St. Louis men’s and women’s swimming teams competed against Saint Louis U. on Saturday in its final tune-up before the GLVC Championships in two weeks.

The host Billikens defeated both the men (116.50-97.50) and the women (141-65).

The UMSL men won seven events, including the 100 and 200 freestyle by freshman Jon Osa and the 500 and 1000 freestyle by junior Keven Stahl.

Other winners included sophomore Aiden Clark (50 free) and senior Gabo Jimenez (100 fly). Osa, Clark, Jimenez and freshman Ryne Downey teamed to win the 200 freestyle relay.

The 2020 GLVC Championships will be held February 12-15 in Crawfordsville, Ind.
