Sadauskas Breaks Competition Record at the Lithuanian Open

On the third and final day of the Lithuanian Open Mindaugas Sadauskas set a new open record in the men’s 100 freestyle posting a time of 50.00. Sadauskas broke his own championship record of 50.06 which he set in 2012, but was well off his lifetime best of 49.26.

Sadauskas won the event with ease finishing over two seconds ahead of the field and with his time earned the top male performance of the competition.

Israelis Martina Marks and Noa Saar won their second events of the competition. Marks took the women’s 200 freestyle in a time of 2:06.26 while Saar earned her second title in the 200 IM posting a 2:22.80.

Agne Seleikaite took the top female performance of the meet honours with her 50 breaststroke time of 32.41.

Kauno PM finished atop of the medal standings earning 36 medals in total, nine gold, 15 silver and 12 bronze. The Israelis finished second with 20 medals, eight gold, eight silver and four bronze.
