On the second night of the 2016 Gresham Sectionals in Oregon, Canadian Olympian Taylor Ruck added another event win, this time taking the title in the women’s 200 free. Ruck’s swim put her over 3 seconds ahead of the rest of the field, as 2nd place finisher Sara Metzsch swam to the wall in 2:03.10. Metzsch made a back half charge to pass Felicity Cann, who held on for 3rd in 2:04.03.

In the men’s version of the 200 free, Christopher Nicholson topped the field with his 1:52.13, 2 seconds ahead of 2nd place Michael Niezgodzki (1:54.28). A tight race for 3rd behind him saw 3 men in the 1:55-range. Aaron Sett won that battle, getting to the wall in 1:55.41 to take the bronze ahead of Austin Crump (1:55.85) and Paul Rogers (1:55.90).
