SMU Women are back and ready to compete at the SMU Classic this weekend. Seniors Isabella Arcila and Nina Rangelova (featured image) and juniors Monika Babok and Nathalie Lindborg earned All-America honors for their performances in the 200-yard and 400-yard freestyle events at the 2013 NCAA Championships.

Le Claims First MAC Swimmer of the Week Honor

Paul Le helped the Bears to a second-place finish in the Show-Me Showdown at Missouri’s Mizzou Aquatics Center on Friday, Oct. 4 to open the season. He won the 100-yard backstroke in 48.50 and 200-yard individual medley in 1:49.26. His backstroke time was fourth in the country behind swimmers from Florida, Michigan and Florida State at the time of the meet.

WKU Swim and Dive tops Delta State

With 23 individual wins and all four relays bringing home a top time, the Western Kentucky University swimming and diving team opened the 2013-14 season with wins over Delta State. The women defeated the Lady Statesmen 195-90 while the Hilltoppers finished the meet with a 182.5-107.5 win over DSU.
