Practice + Pancakes: NC State Sprinters Suit Up, Mid Group Goes for Power

FORM is swim goggles with a smart display. FORM is a sports technology company with a simple mission: to break down the barriers between what swimming is and what it could be.

After the Pro Swim Series stop in Greensboro, SwimSwam embarked on the East Coast Pancake Tour 2019. This tour will be taking fans to various swimming programs along the east coast for Practice + Pancakes, Beyond the Pancakes, and maybe a few more pancake goodies thrown in.

The sprint group had a longer warm up, then threw on suits and worked on race prep while competing in a suit. This meant they did 50’s off the block practicing their stroke count, breakouts, turns, and finishes while in a racing suit. I had never actually seen a team do this specifically in practice before, but it seems like a very useful way to fine tune for your mid-season invite.

In the other pool down the stairs, Braden Holloway had his mid group on a combination of power racks and sox/fins kicking. The worst he saved for last: a short set with chutes that involves very little breathing… you’ll see.
