Pine Richland’s Zoe Skirboll breaks 10&Under NAG record with 54.89 in 100 free at NASA Showcase

Clearwater, Florida’s NASA Showcase meet for 14&under swimmers continues to chug along, with 10-year-old Zoe Skirboll setting a new National Age Group record on night 3.

Skirboll won the 10-year-olds heat of the 100 (short course yard) freestyle, going 54.89 to go under a national record six years older than she is. The previous mark, set in 1999, was a 55.23 from Chelsea Nauta. Skirboll came in with a best time of 55.59 set last month, and bettered that by a longshot in finals of the NASA meet to break the NAG.

You can find full results of the meet on Meet Mobile, or try the live results page here.

I see Zoe at every swim meet! Her team is a local one from my area, about 20 minutes away from me! She works so hard & swim meets & practices. She’s definetly blessed. Go Zoe!

This kid just flat out killed it. She is faster than most high school swimmers. It is not the suit. She is amazing. You want to debate the suite, do it somewhere else. Don’t ruin her article with your negativity. Be like her dad and simply shout ‘ GO ZOE, GO!!!!!’

To complain about a suit or the cost of the suit is total BS!!!! I’m positive she spends hours in the pool training and even more doing some dry land. Let’s congratulate this swimmer on being a positive role model. Zoe is Always cheering on her friends. Always smiling and happy. Congrats Zoe!!! Your an amazing swimmer and an even better person. Let everyone be jealous and hate…. Hold ur head up, put on lip gloss and rock those eyelashes!!!

There’s an anti suit wearing segment of USA Swimming that thinks one should only wear a suit at your one end of season meet… (also, they tend to fall into the camp that you’ve only for one chance to swim fast every 6-9 months…)

And 12-under should wear pocket drag suits or something to make them tougher, I guess…
