Phillip Meffert to Add Breast/IM Depth to Michigan State

Phillip Meffert has announced his committed to the Spartans of Michigan State for 2016-17. Meffert currently swims for Quest Swimming in Richmond, Virginia, where he specializes in breaststroke and IM.

Meffert was a top-8 finalist in both the 100m and 200m breaststroke events at the Virginia Swimming Long Course Senior Championships this summer. He also made the C and B finals, respectively, at the USA Swimming Futures Championships in Greensboro.

Meffert’s best times are:

Joining Meffort in the Michigan State University class of 2020 will be Payton Woods and Scott Piper.
