Ohio State Swim Club Girls Break 10 & Under National Age Group Relay Record

The 10 & under National Age Group Record in the 200 meter free relay was broken on Saturday, but will continue to reside in the state of Ohio, as the Ohio State Swim Club has broken the record on Saturday evening at the Ohio Long Course Junior Olympics.

The team of Riley Huddleston (30.72), Ava Lachey (30.40) Martina Peroni (31.97), and Hannah Routh (30.86) combined to swim a 2:03.95. That broke more than a second off of the old NAG Record that belonged to the Greater Toledo Aquatic Club with a 2:05.70 from 2011.

As of the end of Saturday night’s races, the Ohio State Swim Club girls held almost a 200-point edge over the Northern Kentucky Clippers, and were in 2nd place overall in the competition. Huddleston has been a big part of that team effort: she’s won the 50 free and 50 back individually in addition to a 3rd-place finish in the 50 fly and a 2nd-place finish in the 100 back.

Cincinnati Marlins boys 13-14 went 4:04.42 in the 400 medley – which would be a new national age group record. Results show up in Day 3 Final section on meet mobile. Congrats to messrs. Grendel, Foster, Perera, and McDonald.
