Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio-native Hanna Gresser has given a verbal commitment to swim at The Ohio State University for the 2017-2018 season.

“I am thrilled to be a Buckeye! The competitive swimming program, extraordinary facilities, unmatched academics and especially my welcoming future teammates made the decision easy. Coach Bill and Jordan have built an amazing team and I can’t wait to be a part of it. Ohio State truly feels like home!”

Competing for Walsh Jesuit High School under Wally Lutkus, Gresser won three titles at the 2016 OHSAA Swimming & Diving State Championships. Gresser also led off Walsh Jesuit’s 400 freestyle relay (51.24), helping the quartet to achieve a seventh-place finish.

Gresser swims year-round for the Firestone Akron Swim Team under coach Cindy Dial. She qualified for the 2016 U.S. Olympic Trials in the 100m breaststroke, and placed fifth in that event at the 2016 Speedo Junior National Championships with a personal-best time of 1:10.42.
