MEET HIGHLIGHTS:

In the 1A-3A division, MPC’s Mitchell Norton clipped his best time from Winter Juniors, winning the 200 free in 1:37.71. Norton also lowered his previous best 100 free, winning that race in 44.84. That took 5 hundredths off his Winter Juniors time.

BENE’s Aidan Gaskill blew away his best time in the 200 IM, dropping 4 seconds to win in 1:51.53. He also broke 50 for the first time for a 49.81 win in the 100 fly. HI’s Abby Pilkenton won a pair of races: the 100 free (50.73) and 200 free (1:49.35), as did WSTM’s Gigi Johnson in the 200 IM (2:00.96) and 100 breast (1:02.98).

In the 4A-5A division, MRST’s Quinn Harron clipped his best time in the 200 IM with a 1:48.59 win and shaved a few tenths off his 100 breast time for a 54.21 win. Harron is now within half a second of the GHSA State Record in the 100 breast. OC’s Ryan Wylie took almost a second off his best in the 200 free to win it in 1:39.11. He was a few tenths shy of his best in the 500 free, taking the title in 4:31.37.

Teammate Olivia Dellatorre dropped 1.5 seconds in her 100 fly (54.06) and 200 IM (2:04.59) wins. NOCO’s Karen Zhao came within 5 hundredths of a best time to take the 200 free title in 1:50.31. She broke 51 for the first time in the 100 free, nabbing another win in 50.93.
