(NLI Photos) State Champion Sprinters Warren and Keane Sign Letters to Swim for Northwestern

Mary Warren and Anne Keane have signed letters of intent to swim for the Northwestern Wildcats beginning in the fall of 2014 as part of what has been a very deep class; both swimmers won their respective state titles in the 50 free over the weekend as well.

Above, Mary Warren from Wisconsin’s Arrowhead High School was a very good sprinter when the Wildcats got her verbal commitment, but just after signing her stock rose even further. That’s because she won the Wisconsin girls’ Division I (big school) State Championship in the 50 free with a 23.29, and placed 3rd in the 100 in a lifetime best of 51.34. Below, Anna Keane out of Meadowview High School in Lynnwood, Washington is also a very good sprinter. She was the Washington 3A State Champion over the weekend (second-largest schools) with a 23.21, and took 2nd in the 100 free with a 50.48. Between the two of them, Northwestern might come away with their best sprint duo in recent memory out of this class. (Read more about her commitment here).
