NCAA Announces 2013-14 Division II Qualifying Standards

The NCAA Division II Swimming Committee released the ‘A’ and ‘B’ Qualifying Standards for the 2013-14 NCAA Men’s and Women’s Swimming and Diving Championships.  The cuts are faster pretty much across the board, with the biggest changes coming in the men’s breaststroke events; the ‘A’ standard in the 100 breast went from 54.36 to 53.05, and the 200 breast went from 1:59.51 to 1:56.74.

Why are the breaststroke standards so fast compared to the other strokes??? They look more like D1 q times to me…
