Nick Andres of Glen Elyn, Illinois has signed to swim for Missouri State University as a member of the class of 2024. Andres swims for NWDupage YMCA/BR Ryall Swim Club year round as well as for Glenbard West High School.

Last spring at the YMCA Short Course National Championships Andres qualified for the A-final in both the 200 yard fly and 500 yard free. In the 200 yard fly he took fourth in 1:49.40, while in the 500 free he was seventh in 4:30.60. This summer he scored in the top eight of four events at the YMCA Long Course National Championships with his best finish being third in the 1500 meter free (16:06.73).
Andres will be joining a distance group led by current sophomore Pawel Krawczyk and senior Antonio Thomas. Last year at the Mid-American Championships Andres’ best times would have put him at fifth and seventh in the 1650 freestyle and 500 freestyle respectively.
Andres will join Dylan Moffatt, AJ Huskey, Robbie Hill, James Doromal, and Jacob Bening as a member of the Missouri State class of 2024.
