Michigan Free/Back Specialist Lauren Sullivan Commits to Bowling Green

Lauren Sullivan of Temperance, Michigan has made a verbal commitment to Bowling Green State University for 2017-18. Temperance is just on the north side of the Michigan-Ohio state line, and Sullivan attends Bedford High School in Michigan but trains at Sylvania Tsunami Swim Club in Ohio. Sullivan has been a top-8 finalist at Michigan Girls Division 2 State Championships in each of her three years so far. At the 2015 D2 State Meet last November she placed sixth in the 100 back and eighth in the 200 free. The previous two years she was seventh in the 100 free and eighth in the 100 back.

Swimming for her club team, Sullivan capped off a successful summer season with new personal-bests in the 50m free and 100m free at Columbus Sectionals in July. Her top SCY times are:

  • 50 free: 23.92
  • 100 free: 52.45
  • 50 back: 26.72
  • 100 back: 57.22
  • 200 back: 2:04.20
