The 12-year old phenom Michael Andrew from Kansas continued to break more National Age Group Records this week at the Midwest Regional Swim Meet at the University of Minnesota.

This morning, Andrew (with just over two weeks to go before he ages up and his incredible run presumably ends) took down another Nationwide records for 11-12’s, with a 21.67 in the 50 yard free. That took down his old record of 21.85 set late last year.

With the old record having already belonged to him, he’ll still sit on 14 records altogether, nine in the 11-12 age group; but he’s already starting to dip ever-closer to the 13-14 records, that he will begin chasing on April 18th. He’s now within a second of the 13-14 National Age Group Record (held by Kyle Bubolz at 20.79).

The one that’s still his target is the 100 fly record held by Chas Morton at 51.85. He didn’t get it this week, but will take one final chance at the Clearwater Aquatics (Florida) meet in two weeks.
