AUBURN, Ala. – The Auburn swimming and diving team caps off the 2014-15 regular season Thursday as the Tigers make their first-ever trip to Missouri. The meet is set to begin at noon at the Mizzou Aquatic Center.
Auburn faces a quick turnaround after facing Florida last Saturday to close out its home slate. The Tiger women (6-2-1) nearly pulled off the upset, dropping a heartbreaker against Florida, 152-148, in a meet that came down to the last relay. The Tigers had five different individual winners as Maddie Martin (100 fly) and Sarah Peterson (200 fly) earned their first victories of the year.
Auburn’s men (3-4) fell 158-142, but go a pair of wins out of Fraser McKean (1-meter, 3-meter) and Joe Patching (100 back, 200 back) along with closing the meet with a victory in the 400 free relay against the Gators.
After the Tigers wrap up their competition with Missouri, Auburn will get set to host the 2015 SEC Swimming and Diving Championships, Feb. 17-21, at the James E. Martin Aquatics Center.

Dani Barbiea and Katherine Ross lead the Missouri women, who boast a 9-2 overall record heading into its final meet of the regular season. Ross leads the league with the best time this season in the 100 breast (59.43), while Baribea ranks second among SEC swimmers in the 100 fly (51.51).
