14-year-old Madelyn Donohoe swept the distance races, while national champion breaststroker Brendan McHugh picked up a pair of wins at the Richmond Sectional over the weekend.

Donohoe hit a pair of lifetime-bests in three wins, taking the 400, 800 and 1500 frees. Her 4:16.15 took a second and a half off her previous best 400 time, and she went 8:40.73 to drop more than five seconds in the 800. Donohoe, swimming for The Fish, also won the 1500 in 16:49.79.
Donohoe’s efforts helped The Fish win the overall girls team title.
McHugh, meanwhile, dominated the men’s breaststrokes. The 25-year-old was 1:03.12 in the 100 breast and 2:18.69 to win the 200 breast.
16-year-old Callie Dickinson of Tide Swimming notched a pair of new Olympic Trials cuts in two wins and a runner-up finish. Dickinson won the 100 fly in 1:00.96, a new Trials cut, and also won the 200 IM with a 2:18.87. In prelims of the 100 back, she went 1:02.66 for a Trials cut there, then wound up second in the final in 1:03.10.
Also doubling up on the girls side was Poseidon’s Casey Fanz, who won the 50 free (26.10) and 100 free (57.05).
The top two in the 200 back earned new Olympic Trials cuts. Machine 17-year-old Chloe Hicks won the event in 2:16.28, and Columbia Aquatics Association 15-year-old Morgan Liberto snuck under the Trials cut by just a hundredth of a second, going 2:16.58 for second place.
Also adding a Trials cut from second place was Amanda Nunan in the 800 free. The Egg Harbor TWP Seahawk went 8:44.53 for second in that event behind Donohoe. Nunan would also win the 200 free later in the meet in 2:02.96.
On the boys side, Upper Dublin 17-year-old Jake Sannem won a pair of events, taking a new Trials cut with a 1:51.59 in the 200 free and also winning the 400 in 4:01.71. The other swimmer to win multiple individual events was 22-year-old Air Force grad Ryan Dunne, who took the 50 free (23.49) and 100 free (51.00). Dunne also earned a new Olympic Trials cut with a second-place 54.73 effort in the 100 fly.
Lancaster Aquatic Club won the boys team trophy, getting wins from Arthur Markley and James Wilson. Markley went 8:30.86 to win the 800 free, while Wilson added a new Olympic Trials cut with a 56.72 in the 100 back.
Also adding a new Trials qualifying time on the boys side was 100 flyer Jacob Johnson (54.60) of the Delaware Swim Team.
