This guy swam 48 low in the age of briefs, no dolphin kick on the turn, short underwaters … and all this while playing waterpolo into his university years! I wonder what he would swim with today’s techniques and training methods, 46?

We’ll play these videos at the meet – we have a huge video screen and are encouraging all entrants to submit their own photos and videos as well.

If I were rich I would seriously consider flying in just to support this. Geez anything to get out of the frozen Northeast and to sunny California.

This is going to be a fun one, but, a request for Mr. Biondi – let’s make this thing really interesting and have you leverage your Berkeley connections to get Nathan, Anthony and Natalie down to swim the meet. Better yet, you can’t let those Texas guys have all the glory with their Fastest Man in Texas event. There’s no Grand Prix or other ‘big event’ in March for the post-grad sprinter set – use your star power to get them to Simi Valley this weekend.
