Loyola Blakefield boys raise over $4500 for Wounded Warrior Project with annual 100-mile relay

In Towson, Maryland, the boys of Loyola Blakefield carried on a team tradition dating back to 1997, swimming a 100-mile relay to raise money for charity.

This year’s swim benefited the Wounded Warrior Project, an organization for wounded military veterans. Loyola Blakefield, which is an all-boys school that runs from grades 6 through 12, raised $4,500 with this year’s relay.

The relay event was started in 1997 by Loyola Blakefield alum Joey Curreri, who would go on to swim for USC.

Over the 18 years since the relay event was started, the school has raised over $112,000 for various charities.
