Lowe, Burt, and Trzewik-Quinn Verbally Commit to Buffalo

The Buffalo men have added a trio of members to their recruiting class, as Trey Lowe, Seamus Trzewik-Quinn, and Carson Burt have given their verbal commitments to join the Bulls next season. Burt and Lowe will add freestyle depth, while Trzewik-Quinn will likely swim backstroke and IM.

Trey Lowe:

Lowe is a middle distance swimmer from Ashland, Virginia, where he attends Patrick Henry High School and trains club with Carter Center Aquatics. While he’s competed in the middle distance freestyles during the high school season, he’s also strong in the 400 IM and 200 fly.

Lowe earned 2 medals last season at the Virginia 5A High School League State Championships. His first medal came in the 200 free, where he placed 2nd with a 1:42.07. He then took bronze in the 500 free, clocking a 4:40.13.

He also competed in last season’s NCSA Spring Championships, clocking new best times of 4:34.89 in the 500 free and 1:52.53 in the 200 fly.

Carson Burt:

Burt is a freestyler from Wyoming, Ohio, where he attends Wyoming High School and swims club with the Powel Crosley Jr. YMCA team. The coaching staff at Buffalo could use him in any of the freestyle events, as he typically ranges from the 50 to 500.

Last season, Burt was a 2-time championship finalist at the Ohio State Championships. There, he placed 2nd in the 200 free (1:40.17) and 3rd in the 100 free with a personal best of 46.00. He then went on to place 6th at the long course YMCA Nationals, clocking a 52.92 in the 100 meter free.

Seamus Trzewik-Quinn:

Trzewik-Quinn, a native of New Paltz, New York, will head to Buffalo after graduating from New Paltz Senior High School. His club training base is with the Hawks Swimming Association.

Trzewik-Quinn was a 2-time champion at the 2016 New York Section IX Championships. There, he won the 200 IM (1:57.62) and 100 back (52.34). He then went on to compete at the 2016 Futures Championships meet in Maryland this summer, where he swam the 50 free, 100 back, and 200 back.
