Women’s Highlights:

  • Louisville got off to a hot start in the 200 medley relay with a 1:36.52., which is an A-cut time (and meet and pool record). Andrea Cottrell split a 26.91 on the breaststroke leg, and Mallory Comerford split a 23.08 on the butterfly leg.
  • The Cardinals got individual wins from Rachael Bradford-Feldman in the 400 IM (4:10.95), Hanna Magnuson in the 100 fly (53.77), Abbie Houck in the 200 free (1:45.83) and Lauren James in the 100 breast (1:02.26).
  • Florida International swept the podium in the women’s 1-meter springboard. Becca Quesnel won with 293.70 points.
  • Louisville finished off Day Two with another A-cut in the 800 free relay. Comerford had the fastest split with a 1:44.20, which is a bit off her season’s best.

Men’s Highlights:

  • The Louisville men also won the 200 medley relay, but were just one one-hundredth of a second shy of the A-cut time standard.
  • Louisville freshmen went 1-2-3 in the 400 IM, and all three touched in under 3:50. Etay Gurevich won in 3:43.96.
  • The Cardinals also picked up individual wins from David Boland in the 100 fly (46.97), freshman Sam Steele in the 200 free (1:37.01), Carlo Claverie in the 100 breast (52.93) and Josh Quallen in the 100 back (47.95).
  • The Louisville men were able to register an NCAA automatic qualifying time in the 800 free relay with a 6:19.36.
