Mel, ONE MORE THING! After Michael wins the 100 fly tomorrow, PLEASE convince him to take a year off and then train at your old team, SwimMAC, for the 100 fly and 400 FR & MR in Rio!!! We NEED him to get back the 400 FR and KEEP the 400 MR, and he needs to become the first Olympian in ANY individual event to 4-peat!!!

ilove MP

I don’t think he had a shot of beating Agnel 400IM or not lol

Not with that crazy relay swim. But he may have beaten Agnel in the individual race

Doubt it. He’s not as young as Agnel he couldn’t have made such a big drop in time.

I say, with Grevers/Thoman likely retiring, that he focuses on 100 back, 200 IM (That’s the one he’s never won despite his great talent in the event, and it’s more of a sprint) and trying to make the relays (more sprint work could help his 100 free). That way he could decrease total number of swims/racing yardage significantly but potentially still win 5 medals, as he did in London. Sixteen medals would put him behind only Michael for male Olympians. I’m sure he wants to know what I… Read more »
