Topsport director André Cats said of the KNZB‘s roadmap, “With the publication of this manual we want to provide all talented and top swimmers from junior to senior in the Netherlands with clarity on how we deal with qualification for all tournaments in the coming years. This creates clarity and so all swimmers with ambitions know where they stand. ‘

“With the publication of this handbook, a long-cherished wish of the KNZB has been realized,” says Cats. “Drafting it has been a huge job and I hope that we will meet a great need. It may also be that there are still some uncertainties in this first version. We will of course adjust these in the short term. We are open to feedback. We will release new versions periodically. We have to, because we simply cannot look too far into the future in terms of qualifying match planning. We will include a handy overview of changes in the following versions, so that interested parties can quickly see which changes are being made. ”
