100 Fly was Smith’s second win this week. She won the 200 back on Thursday night. 2:09.79. Sub minute today in the 100 Back would be an exceptional early season swim. She has Grace Ariola to push her. At least in finals.

Not sure we’ll see Regan sub 1 minute in the 100 back. She has improved her 100 fly PB by 0.22s. Her 100 back PB is 1.00.26. It will be close. I wish her to do it this weekend. It would be an important step in her career. Anyway now or later, it will be done this year. She will be the big favorite for gold in that event at next world juniors in that same pool of Indianapolis. I presume that meet held on the US soil is the biggest goal of her season.
