Justice Kramer commits to CSUB for 2015 and beyond

Washington’s Justice Kramer will head down the Pacific coast for his college swimming career after giving a verbal commitment to the California State University – Bakersfield Roadrunners.

Kramer is a high school senior who swims for Doug Djang at KING Aquatic Club out of Federal Way, Washington, though he previously lived in Boise, Idaho and competed for the Boise YMCA. He made three “A” finals at last year’s Short Course YMCA Nationals (200 IM, 400 IM and 200 fly).

Kramer also swims for Todd Beamer High School in Washington.

“I am excited to train in sunny California and be a Roadrunner!” Kramer said. “CSUB’s team and coaching staff are a perfect fit for me.”

Kramer is one of those versatile athletes with the endurance to be a factor in a number of races. He’s probably best in the IMs, but brings two strong butterfly races and some backstroke potential to the table, along with a 200 free time that could make him a relay factor down the road.

Kramer’s Top Times:

  • 200 IM: 1:50.99
  • 400 IM: 3:56.82
  • 200 fly: 1:49.51
  • 100 fly: 49.76
  • 100 back: 50.46
  • 200 free: 1:41.71
