The Marlins Of Raleigh Swim Team (MOR), a USA Swimming Silver Medal Club and regularly ranked top 20 USA Swimming Virtual Club is seeking a head Sr. Coach for our North Raleigh Site.

The available position is for the Head Sr. Coach at MOR’s N. Raleigh site.

The successful candidate will design the training plan for our top Srs at that site which include 8 NCSA Jr. National qualifiers. There are 3 experienced and talented full time coaches at the N. Raleigh site that successfully funnel new talent to the Sr. group regularly.

Duties include but not limited to

Designing training plans, positively motivating elite athletes while moving developing athletes to the next level of swimming, completing meet entries, communication with parents, designing dryland/wts program, scheduling 3 pools, promoting MOR in the community, participating in NC Swimming, communicating successfully with other staff, Team Unify website edits, recruiting from the summer league by attending summer meets and conducting clinics.

The N. Raleigh Sr. coach will report to Head Coach Paul Silver.

Requirements

The successful candidate will have all required USA Swimming certifications, completed bachelors degree, ASCA level 4 or above preferred. The coach must be passionate about swimming, have outstanding knowledge of technique and training design, strong communication skills, willingness to work hard to achieve team/individual goals, and a vision to help MOR grow and excel.

Applicants must currently reside in the US.

Start date is March 30, 2015.

Salary

Salary will match experience and it is expected that this position will attract top level candidates.

Description and Functions

The Sales Representative position is responsible for the implementation and management of company sales, marketing and distribution objectives within the specified geographic territory. The Rep will be solely responsible for growing sales and the realization of brand market potential within the region. Position requires at least a minimum of 50% travel time.

  • Educate and motivate existing, under achieving, and potential accounts to sell TYR product through line presentations, merchandising plans, product knowledge clinics and booking programs.
  • Proactively service existing accounts on a regular basis. Return all calls and emails from accounts within a twenty-four hour window.
  • Administrative duties associated with collecting and preparing booking orders.
  • Attend and participate in regional expos and events, including triathlons and swimming competitions that present brand visibility and sales opportunities.
  • Communicate with company management on a semi-monthly basis to relay account and event sales, potential athletic talent, and product feedback.
  • Display learned knowledge of company’s b2b software to analyze sales data, event return on investment, and the creation of developmental strategies for territory.

National Coach, Denmark

The Danish Swimming Federation, in collaboration with Team Denmark, is looking for a National Coach.

The overall objective for the National Coach will be to ensure the continued development of Danish high performance swimming at the highest international level. The specific goal of the Sports department is to win medals for Denmark at the Olympics, World and European Championships. The primary focus is on international long course championships.

The National Coach will work within the structural and organisational framework defined in the 2016 Danish Swimming Plan, and be responsible for achieving the long-term sporting objectives listed in the 2016 Danish Swimming Plan. The National Coach will also work on the basis of the sporting objectives agreed between the Danish Swimming Federation and Team Denmark.

The National Coach will be part of the Sports Department which, apart from the National Coach, consists of the High Performance Manager, National Head Coach, NTC Coach, Talent Manager and the High Performance Coordinator.

In terms of HR, the National Coach reports to the High Performance Manager and in terms of sport, the National Head Coach.

The National Coach’s primary focus is to develop Danish swimming in a national and international perspective during 2015 – 2016, as well as lay the foundations in the period up to 2020. The National Coach ́s work includes the development of swimmers in various national team squads, including their clubs and coaches, as well as assisting with the strategic development of Danish high performance swimming. The National Head Coach’s primary focus is to achieve results in major international championships for the period up to 2016,

In relation to the national squads the National Coach must work with, among other things:

  •   Joint responsibility for naming the national squads in collaboration with the National Head Coach.
  •   Joint responsibility for planning the season for all national squads in collaboration with the National Head Coach.
  •   Participate in selected national team training camps and competitions.
  •   Responsible for sparring with “Vikings” swimmers (the Danish Swimming Federation’s seniorsquad) and their coaches via ongoing dialogue and club visits. (Responsibility for the Vikings, who have World Championship and Olympic finals potential lies with the National Head Coach).
  •   Responsible for the “Great Danes” – a development project for Danish men’s swimming, including season plan, objectives, testing, training camps and competitions.
  •   Assist in agegroup and junior work, including season plan and objectives.
  •   From time to time take care of the pool deck training at the National Training Centre (NTC)primarily as a replacement coach.

In the development of Danish high performance and talent environments, the National Coach, must work with:

  •   Assist in developing professional competences of Danish high performance coaches.
  •   Development of a high performance coach development programme.
  •   Visits to high performance clubs and following up on appropriate individual swimmers andhigh performance training environments as a whole.
  •   Work on the basis of the “2016 Danish Swimming Plan’s” developed club matrix incollaboration with development consultants and the junior national coach.
  •   Work to develop the national championship structure, both in terms of qualificationrequirements and logistics.

    We are looking for a coach who can:

  • –  Communicate with all key stakeholders in Danish high performance swimming.
  • –  Coach and inspire high performance club coaches and swimmers to perform during daily trainingand in international competitions.
  • –  Work within a professionally run department, while being able to understand the democratic andswimming club structure that the Danish Swimming Federation is built on.
  • –  Ensure excellent and close communication with swimmers, coaches and team leaders (in theSports Department).
  • –  Lead the way for constructive collaboration with swimmers and club coaches.
  • –  Be the driver for the work to develop, embed and implement a new strategy for 2020 replacing the 2016 Danish Swimming Plan.

This position can grow over time if the coach is a good fit with the organization. We are looking for a high energy, passionate coach who will inspire the swimmers to be their best. The ideal candidate will have great communication skills and work well in a team environment. Position starts at $20 per hour, plus $24 for every 30-min. private lesson. We have more swimmers/parents interested in lessons than we can currently provide, so plan to be available 3:30-7:00 pm daily (a lesson before and after the 2.5 hours of practice = $100).

RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Lead practices Monday-Fridays 4:00-6:30 pm, some days providing in-water instruction.
2. Connect with swimmers and parents, creating long-lasting relationships with our team.
3. Provide private swim lessons before or after swim practices.
4. Document teaching progressions, drills, videos, workouts etc…daily on planning calendar.
5. Grow both swim groups, adding new swimmers with referrals, and lead new coaches.
6. Increase USA swim meet participation and coach 1 to 2 meets each month.
7. Help coach Sat. morning practices 7:00-9:00 am, and fill in when needed for other age groups and masters practices.

REQUIREMENTS

The preferred candidate has at least three years coaching experience, is a member in good standing with USA Swimming (possess CPR, First-Aid, and Safety Training for Swim Coaches and Athlete Protection Training certifications, USA Swimming Background check, Foundations of Coaching Courses, Rules and Regulations test). About the Northern Kentucky Clippers

Founded in 1979 by David Webb, the Northern Kentucky Clippers have established themselves as a premier team on a national level by earning the National USA Swimming Silver Medal Award of Excellence. Full Time Head Swim Coach

Missouri State Aquatics (MSA), located in Springfield Missouri has an opening for a full time Head Swim Coach. The team trains year round at Missouri State University. The facility is an 8-lane x 25 yard pool with additional space for lessons program. During the summer months, MSA has access to train in a 5-lane x 50 meter pool for long course training. MSA is a coach owned – parent supported club that competes year round as a USA Swimming member club. The team consists of 120 swimmers varying from beginning swimmers to swimmers that compete at the sectional level.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will be a coach member in good standing of USA Swimming with at least 3 years of coaching experience in a leadership role. Experience in supervising a staff and directing team vision is preferred, however candidates who have been assistant coaches who have not supervised a staff and not directed a team vision will be considered. Proficiency in Hy-Tek, and Team Unify is preferred.

About Missouri State Aquatics

Missouri State Aquatics (MSA), located in Springfield Missouri has an opening for a full time Head Swim Coach. The team trains year round at Missouri State University. The facility is an 8-lane x 25 yard pool with additional space for lessons program. During the summer months, MSA has access to train in a 5-lane x 50 meter pool for long course training. MSA is a coach owned – parent supported club that competes year round as a USA Swimming member club. The team consists of 120 swimmers varying from beginning swimmers to swimmers that compete at the sectional level.

Burlingame Aquatic Club (BAC) in Burlingame, CA is seeking a Part-Time Lead Age Group Coach. Located in Pacific Swimming, BAC is committed to providing excellence in aquatics from Learn to Swim to Masters. The position will report to the Head Coach of Competitive Swimming. The position includes coaching up to two groups.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead Coach for one or two of our groups. The groups may include swimmers age 7-14. The Lead Coach will be responsible for approximately 12-18 hours of on-deck coaching per week, and will typically attend 1 weekend meet per month. The groups may practice Monday-Friday and on Saturday mornings.

The coach will be responsible for administrative duties for primary group and seasonal, weekly and daily planning.
Participation in our staff meetings.

The coach may assist with other competitive groups.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

1+ year of coaching experience
Competitive swimming experience at the club or collegiate level.
Strong communication, organizational, and administrative skills
Desire & passion for working with and developing swimmers of all ages
Enthusiastic and highly motivated team player
Current USA Swimming Coach certification requirement

Salary

Salary is commensurate with experience, starting at $20,000 annually.

Ranney School is seeking an Aquatics Director for its aquatic program for 2015-2016 academic year.

To organize and supervise the aquatic program at Ranney School. The position includes faculty supervision specific to aquatics, curriculum development, and scheduling certified swim instructors to support swim instruction at Ranney School. The position also includes coaching and the development of a new program to advance swim instruction to participating members of the outside community. The Aquatics Director also oversees the care and operation of the facility, (an indoor pool and locker room) which includes managing filter system, water testing and temp control as outlined by the State of New Jersey Board of Health.

Requirements

The successful candidate will have a Bachelor’s Degree, Master’s Degree preferable, in physical education, or a related area, and must possess educational programming and administrative experience.

Responsibilities:

Ranney School Instruction- Beginners to Grade 12
• Aquatic Director shall be supervised by and report directly to the Athletic Director and the PE Department Chair.
• Develop a swim curriculum that is progressive in nature to teacher children to swim and outlines a respect for water safety for students from Beginners (3 years of age) through Twelfth Grade.
• Support the supervision of the boys’ locker room.
• Prepare student report Beginners through Twelfth grade for each marking period that outlines students swimming skills, progression and goals of the swim program at Ranney School and goals for the student.
• Communicate with parents of students who are having difficulty or are excessively unprepared for class.
• Test students at the end of the first and third marking periods to evaluate skills.
Coaching
• The Aquatic Director shall be the Head Coach of the Varsity Swim Team.
• The Aquatic Director supports the development of a coaching staff and teaching staff specific for swim instruction and competitive swim programs.
• Order team equipment.
• Organize swim practices and meets.

Program Development

• Organize and market swim Instruction programs for community outside of RS.
• The Aquatic Director should be the leading advocate for swim instruction in Monmouth County and is expected to develop a program that is open to children learning to swim. In doing so, supporting the staffing, marketing and coaching of such program is important.

Facilities and Operations

• Schedule after school swim programs.
• Order or repair pool equipment
• Order first aid equipment.
• Provide necessary immediate first aid for pool related injuries.
• Test and record PH and Free Chlorine levels every two hours of pool use.
• Keep a log book of water tests.
• Keep a log book of weekly laboratory water tests.
• Discretely keep track of health problems of students, which could be aggravated
• by water or physical exercise.
• Communicate to school administration or school nurse any evidence of illness,
injury, skin rash, or bruises.
• Order pool chemicals as needed.
