Scope:

The Head Coach of the Tiger Aquatics Swim Club demonstrates leadership and is responsible for the administration of the club. Communicates effectively with the board, the athletes and parents. They will be involved in all aspects of the TAC program, including (but not limited to) scheduling, training, performance and safety.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for overall team management, to include but not limited to meet entries, coordination of team travel, fundraising, and recruitment of swimmers.
  • Assist in marketing and growth of the team
  • Encourages swimmers of all levels to achieve their maximum potential, while offering a positive environment for all.
  • Ensures that the level of training for all swimmers is appropriate, including moving swimmers up or down a level as needed
  • As a non-profit organization the Head Coach reports to the Board of Directors
  • Ensures USA Swimming Policies and Procedures are being observed. Trains all staff on protocols and procedures.
  • Works with the board for coordination and organization of the meet schedule at the local, sectional, zone and national levels.
  • Develop a partnership with City of Pocatello Recreation Center to schedule pool time for swim practice.
  • Promote and encourage professional development and coaching certifications among assistant coaches.
  • Age group coach and novice coaches will report to the head coach.
  • Perform additional duties as necessary and assigned by the board.

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Five years related experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent leadership skills
  • Show a willingness to work with parents and community
  • Coach should be a minimum ASCA Level 2 (prefer 3 or higher)
  • Experience with a swim team of 50 or more swimmers.
  • Current Coach Member in good standing with USA Swimming

Assistant Swim Coach – Austin Texas

Head Age Group Coach- Full Time – Roanoke Virginia

The Carter Center Aquatics Swim Team (CCA), located in Roanoke, VA, is seeking applicants for Head Age Group Coach. The Roanoke Valley is uniquely nestled among the Blue Ridge Mountains in southwestern Virginia. An outdoor paradise (hiking, biking, boating, etc), Roanoke is located within three hours of Charlotte, Richmond, and the Washington DC environs.

The Head Age Group Coach, a full time salaried position, will be in charge of the age group program, coaching 2-3 training groups. The position will include 25-30 hours on deck per week with practices held Monday through Friday evenings, Saturday mornings, and possibly some weekday mornings as well.

Responsibilities & Expectations:

– Represent CCA in a professional and mature manner at all times while adhering to all USA- Swimming, North Cross School, ASCA Code of Ethics and Conduct policies.

– Maintaining all required credentials.

– Coordinate with the Team’s Head Coach to develop seasonal training plan for all 14 & under practice groups within the philosophy of the program.

– Responsible for writing and running our Junior Elite & Junior training groups, including developing and implementing dry land workouts.

– Creating a fun, positive, exciting, engaging yet challenging and skills based practices for the age group program.

– Overseeing and mentoring the other age group coaches and assisting them with their training groups
– Attending all swim meets in which swimmer’s from under their direction are attending (usually one to two meets a month).

– Attending and participate in all staff meetings as requested by the Head Coach.

– Collaborates with entire staff to develop and implement benchmarks for measuring our swimmer’s improvement and increasing these opportunities for all levels of the team.

– Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, Providing great customer service and communicates with all constituents for the program including staff, swimmers, parents and friends of CCA.

– Assist Head Coach, North Cross School and parent booster board with Marketing and Promotion of the club.

– Oversee individual and team entries, submits entries and send out any relevant meet information for swim meets. Imports Swim Meet results onto CCA database & manage team records page.

– Track swimmer’s training goals and statistics along with monthly attendance figures.

– Provide goal meetings with swimmer’s on a seasonal basis and any additional as needed by athlete and coach decisions.

– Meet set-up and take-down assistance for Hosted/sponsored meets as required by the Head Coach.

– Dealing with disciplinary issues per team policies and in coordination with the Head Coach.

– Participation and input assistance to Head Coach/School with hiring of new staff members.

– Attend and participate in our LSC is expected.

The applicant must have experience coaching swimmers 14 and younger, display a strong knowledge of excellent stroke technique, and have prepared swimmers for the senior level. We are looking for an energetic coach who is active on the deck, enthusiastic about the opportunity, and possesses good communication skills. Our ideal candidate will possess high ethical and moral standards and will be as interested in our members’ character development as they are in their development as swimmers. We are looking for a coach who has a passion to coach and mentor our swimmers!

Candidates must have experience with Team Unify, Team Manager and Microsoft Office. It is preferred candidates have at least 4 years competitive coaching experience. RPST is a coach-owned team that currently has 150+ swimmers ranging from novice to Junior National level, as well as National top 16 qualifiers. General Job Description

The primary responsibility of this position is to build and maintain a high-performance age-group competitive swim team program.  The position includes leadership and responsibilities for TITANS’s Elite, Challenge and Jr. TITANS/Teen groups in alignment with the Triangle Aquatic Center (www.triangleaquatics.org) and TAC TITANS (www.tactitans.org) missions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Following guidelines of Spirit, Service, and Strength that represent what Lynn University is all about.
  • Must have knowledge of and responsibility to follow NCAA and Sunshine State Conference rules and regulations.
  • Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to; all phases of coaching including practice planning and on deck coaching, recruiting, travel planning, and office hours.
  • All assignments will be determined by the head women’s swimming coach.
  • This position will have supervisory responsibilities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree with collegiate swimming and/or coaching experience.
    CPR, First Aid, Lifeguard and Safety Training for Swim Coaches certified.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
  • Must have experience and knowledge recruiting and developing talent.
  • Ability to coach swimming effectively and connect with student-athletes.
  • Must be willing and available to work flexible hours including some evenings, weekends and holidays.
  • The successful candidate will possess a passion for coaching with strong organizational and communications skills.

Chief Swimming Coach – Glenmark Aquatic Foundation – High Performance Centre

We are currently looking to hire Chief Swimming Coaches for our High Performance Centers based in India.  As “Chief Swimming Coach – Glenmark Aquatic Foundation – High Performance Centre”, you shall, have the following roles and responsibilities in relation to the Foundation:

 

  1. designing, formulating and reviewing the centre’s overall swimming development strategy, so as to facilitate the success and the sustainability of the centre’s swimming development programmes;
  2. co-ordinating with administrative staff for the execution of the centre’s swimming development programmes;
  3. creating long term, medium term and short term objectives with regards to developing the swimming capabilities of all trainees of the centre;
  4. leading the technical development of all aspects of the Foundation’s swimming development programmes;
  5. providing assistance in monitoring and recruiting talented young swimmers for the centre’s swimming development programmes;
  6. providing training in your personal capacity to all swimmers enrolled;
  7. coordinating the enhancement of the education and continuing professional development of all coaches and technical staff employed by the centre with respect to swimming development programmes and initiatives;
  8. adopting a planned and progressive approach to training and competition schedules for elite trainees and swimmers;
  9. developing the capacities of all trainees and swimmers including their technical, tactical, mental, physical and personal abilities in line with international standards and practices in order to maximize the possibility of further opportunities; and conducting orientations and such other similar activities on training, development, nutrition and other swimming-related issues for the center’s coaches and staff;
  10. Providing assistance in the drafting and finalization of, and signing off on, detailed programme, infrastructure and budget plans for each annual cycle, which plans will include specific targets to be achieved by you and the centre during the applicable time period.
