The Faculty of Health’s sport team is looking for 1 or 2 PhD students to investigate the links between new conditioning practices, changes in technique and how implementing techology affect overall swimming performance.

You should have an active interest in swimming and able to work well within a team environment. You must be excited about answering questions that can give coaches better guidelines to enhance their training prescription and are looking forward to   delivering research with a real impact.

Desired Skills

  • Applicants should have a strong First Class or Second Class Honours degree, Master-by-Research degree, or equivalent qualification. With study in either strength and conditioning,  performance analysis, biomechanics or a related field of study.
  • Experience or interest in research and working within a sport science context
