The Head Coach is responsible for leading and overseeing the strategy and operations of the Northern Kentucky Clippers (Clippers) Corporation and is a standing member of the Clippers’ Board of Directors. Provides direction and feedback to coaching staff and establishes training direction for entire team. Oversees and performs administrative duties to ensure the organization runs smoothly. Responsible for securing sponsors and grants to assist with funding the operations. Is the primary representative for the organization at the LSC and attends meetings/clinics. Participates in USA Swimming camps and clinics and coordinates with USA Swimming on swimmers competing in national and/or international competitions.

Required Qualifications

– Associate Degree
– In lieu of a degree, at least 10 years of prior coaching experience, including at least 5 years with supervisory and/or managerial experience
– In addition to a degree, at least 5 years with a swim team of similar or larger size than the NKY Clippers
– Active USA Swimming Member in good standing
– Accounting and Budgeting experience
– Planning and Organizational skills
– Demonstrated experience establishing a course of action to accomplish a specific goal(s), including the proper allocation of resources
– Ability to create a vision for the organization. Gains commitment on vision by enrolling others to achieve the desired future state
– Experience with identifying and addressing professional development needs
– Strong communication skills that take into account the feelings and needs of others when communicating with parents, swimmers and staff. Communicates in a thorough, clear and timely manner
– Completion of a criminal and financial background check that is deemed satisfactory by the organization

– ASCA Level 4, or higher, Coaching Certification
– 10 or more years experience coaching and leadership experience at the collegiate level or with a USA Swimming organization ranked in the Top 50 nationally during their tenure

– Strong interpersonal skills

About the Northern Kentucky Clippers

Founded in 1979 by David Webb, the Northern Kentucky Clippers have established themselves as a premier team on a national level by earning the National USA Swimming Silver Medal Award of Excellence. Qualifications

The ideal candidate will be a coach member in good standing of USA Swimming with at least 3 years of coaching experience in a leadership role. Experience in supervising a staff and directing team vision is preferred, however candidates who have been assistant coaches who have not supervised a staff and not directed a team vision will be considered. Proficiency in Hy-Tek, and Team Unify is preferred.

Responsibilities

Energetic personality, strong organizational, leadership and administrative skills with the ability to develop and manage an Age Group and Senior swimming program. Must display effective communication skills with swimmers, parents, coaching staff, and booster club. Develop schedule and staffing for practices and meet schedule.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead Coach for one or two of our groups. The groups may include swimmers age 7-14. The Lead Coach will be responsible for approximately 12-18 hours of on-deck coaching per week, and will typically attend 1 weekend meet per month. The groups may practice Monday-Friday and on Saturday mornings.

The coach will be responsible for administrative duties for primary group and seasonal, weekly and daily planning.
Participation in our staff meetings.

The coach may assist with other competitive groups.

Facilities and Operations

• Schedule after school swim programs.

Roles and Duties

Educational Services

Educate aquatics leaders on the benefits and reasons to become ALTS certified;

Swimming Saves Lives Foundation (SSLF)

Manage our foundation grant process including but not limited to customer service/answering SSLF questions, soliciting grants, tracking grant requests, communicating with grant applicants, ensuring agreements are completed, and compiling insurance certificates;
Collect, write and provide reports from grant partners;
Receive orders and coordinate, fulfill and ship SSLF support materials and collateral to grant partners;
Update SSLF information to our website;
Manage our donor thank you program including electronic and mailed tax receipt letters;
Develop and distribute SSLF donor solicitation information.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and organized age group coach. We are looking for some who is dedicated to developing a quality age group swimmers through our establish curriculum focused on establishing good fundamentals strokes. Responsibilities

1. Conduct – 5-6 workouts per week for approximately 18-22 hours a week. Attends 1-2 swim meets a month.

3. Prepare, approve and submit swimmers’ meet entries.
4. Recommend practice level placement and changes for all swimmers in currently in practice groups and in one group below current training group.

The TOM also has access to The Middle Tyger YMC A, which has 20 SCY lanes and 10 LCM training lanes.

Requirements

We are looking for an enthusiastic hard working coach with strong organizational skills, hytek proficiency and strong people skills. Must have all required safety certifications and pass USA Swimming background test. There are required office hours and recruiting from the local summer league is important to our success.

About Y-Spartaquatics Swim Club

YSSC is one of the top YMCA swim programs in the nation, winning the 2014 SCY YMCA National meet, placing 2nd in the girls at this summer’s Junior Nationals and regularly finishes in the top 20 of the USA Swimming Virtual Club Championships. Mitchell Aquatic Club (MAC) is seeking an experienced coach to work primarily with the Age Group swimmers in our program. MAC is focused on motivating, teaching, and training young athletes to achieve their potential in competitive swimming in the belief that this experience will provide “life skills” that will prove to be invaluable assets throughout their swimming career and adult life. We are looking for an individual who works well with others, is passionate about swimming and has strong communication and people skills. This individual will be dedicated to laying foundations necessary for athletes to be successful throughout their entire career.

We also operate a Swim America program that feeds into our club program.

Responsibilities

1) Conduct workouts 4-5 days per week.
2) Assist with our learn to swim program.
3) Assist Head Coach with administrative tasks relating to the team including maintaining the team website, swim meet preparation, and communication with parents.
4) Work closely with the other MAC coaches and other board of directors on issues that concern the club as a whole.
5) Participate in weekend swim meets as required.
Qualifications: previous work experience coaching, preferably CPR, First Aid and Lifeguard certified.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Coach must teach fundamental and advance athletic skills and work with athletes to prepare them for competition. The coach needs to be able to instruct athletes under the guidelines and philosophy of the Team Mission. All Coaches will be responsible for making sure that each swimmer improves throughout the season. Coaches must be responsible for helping maintain a safe atmosphere and providing positive and constructive feedback to our swimmers. Provide training and nutritional information for newsletter. These duties are delegated by the Head Coach. Hours of work are determined by the Head Coach and the availability of the facilities.

Required Education

Bachelors degree preferred.

Required Experience

Applicants must show ability to run swim practice with a large group of young swimmers (ages 5 to 14). Must show capacity to train developmental as well as elite level training. Must be USA Swimming Certified.

About Lone Star Aquatic Club

Lone Star Aquatic Club is a non-profit 501c swim team located in Round Rock, Texas, just 15 minutes north of the City of Austin of approximately 200 members. Since 1989, our swimmers compete in a variety of meets throughout the State of Texas, proven themselves to be some of the fastest in the state. This position will report to the Head Coach. Duties

The job includes daily coaching duties, seasonal planning, daily planning for a novice to midpack group of adult triathletes.

The program is expanding to include a youth triathlon program in 2015.

Currently there are 20 athletes involved in the adult program and 3 youth triathletes that are a part of our USA Swimming program. The coach will be also responsible for marketing and recruitment of athletes. The coach will report to the Head Coach of the Lodi Swim Club
