The Graduate Assistant Swimming Coach will serve as an assistant to the Swimming & Diving program in conjunction with completing required coursework for the respective graduate degree program. This position is governed by state and federal laws, and agency/institution policy.
Required Education and/or Experience:

Hold a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution of higher education;
-
Regular admission to a UA Little Rock graduate degree program or good standing with the UA Little Rock Graduate School for continuing graduate students;
-
Ability to work the required hours (FT-50% – 20 hours per week/PT-25% – 10 hours per week) with regular attendance.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
-
Assisting the head coach with planning and implementation of daily practices
-
Coordination of operations; Securing hotel contracts, transportation reservations, per diem, meals, planning travel itineraries, etc.

Attend Staff meetings, be prepared for, and contribute to weekly staff meetings;
-
Recruiting – In collaboration with full-time coaching staff;
-
Coaching – In collaboration with full-time coaching staff;
-
Coordinating community service opportunities for the Swimming & Diving team;
-
Meet management duties; manage equipment/apparel;
-
Assist with NCAA compliance reporting and academic monitoring;
-
Other duties assigned by Head Swimming & Diving Coach.

Ability to work effectively with student-athletes;
