Position Description:

The part-time assistant diving coach is responsible for assisting the Head Swimming and Diving coach in implementing and directing all phases of a competitive NCAA Division I Swimming & Diving program at UNC Asheville.

A successful candidate will plan and execute the training for diving team members in and out of the pool, assist the head swimming coach with administrative duties as assigned, including but not limited to monitoring academic progress of student-athletes, recruiting, fundraising, planning of team travel and assist in running of home meets.

Qualifications:

Required – Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university

Required – Dive coaching experience

Preferred – Competitive experience diving at high school, collegiate or master’s level

Hire dates: July 1, 2019 – April 30, 2020 (10 months)

Salary: $10,000
