ISL INTERNATIONAL SWIMMING LEAGUE STAGIONE 3

La terza stagione della International Swimming League inizierà giovedì prossimo a Napoli. Per essere pronti a goderci sei settimane di spettacolo, riassumiamo la composizione delle 10 squadre della lega, ora che tutte le fasi di ingaggio sono chiuse.

CALI CONDORS

I Condors torneranno con le loro punte di diamante, compreso l’MVP in carica e campione olimpico Caeleb Dressel, l’asso della rana Lilly King, e la dorsista Olivia Smoliga. I Cali Condors sono i campioni in carica, ed insieme ad Energy Standard sono i favoriti per prendere parte alla terza finale consecutiva.

ENERGY STANDARD

Come i Condors, anche Energy Standard tornerà in gara con i migliori atleti della precedente stagione. Capitanati da Sarah Sjostrom, la svedese torna come prima donna nelle gare veloci, nelle quali potrà trovare valida compagna in Siobhan Haughey. Benedetta Pilato Marco De Tullio sono gli italiani che gareggeranno per Energy Standard quest’anno.

LONDON ROAR

I London Roar quest’anno si presentano al campionato senza il capitano delle precedenti stagioni. Adam Peaty non parteciperà alla regular season anche se al momento potrebbe anche rientrare per i play-off. Anche se Peaty non ci sarà, il contingente dei London Roar potrà contare sul ritorno degli australiani, tra i quali Cate Campbell, Minna Atherton, e Kyle ChalmersIlaria Bianchi è l’italiana nella squadra londinese.

LA CURRENT

LA è stata la squadra che ha utilizzato al meglio i due turni del draft, prendendo Bronte Campbell. L’ex campionessa del mondo nei 100 metri stile libero potrà formare una coppia interessante nelle gare veloci con l’americana Abbey Weitzeil. Tra i ritorni nella squadra dalla stagione 2020 ci sono Beryl Gastadello, Ryan Murphy, Tom Shields, Maxime Rooney. L’unica presenza italiana negli LA sarà Sara Franceschi.

La star degli Iron anche quest’anno sarà la capitana Katinka Hosszu, che nella Lega cerca riscatto dopo una Olimpiade non esaltante. Tra i top player della terza stagione ci sono Ranomi Kromowidjojo, Kristof Milak, e Emre Sakci. Milak, torna dopo i successi di Tokyo ed alimenterà la sfida contro l’americano Caeleb Dressel.

Gli italiani in gara per gli Iron sono quattro: Costanza Cocconcelli, Silvia Scalia, Lorenzo Mora, Marco Orsi.
