The Florida State women traveled to Miami on Friday, January 21st. This was Florida State’s first meet since their midseason as they have had recent meets canceled due to COVID-19 protocols. This was Miami’s second meet of the year. They defeated Florida Gulf Coast on January 12th by a score of 198-100.

A sweep by international students in the 100 backstroke brought in many points for the Seminoles. Junior Tania Quaglieri from Italy led the way in a time of 53.85. That swim was a season best and faster than the 54.37 she swam at midseason. Senior Maddie McDonald from Canada touched in second in a time of 53.96. This also was a season best for her as she went a time of 53.99 leading off the 400 medley relay at midseason.
