The field that will be competing over the weekend is an impressive one which will include six European Championship gold medalists and three world record holders.

As usual the most ambitious athlete in the field is Hungarian Katinka Hosszu who is entered in 15 events over the two day competition (50, 100, 200, 400 freestyle, 50, 100, 200 breaststroke, 50, 100, 200 backstroke, 50, 100, 200 butterfly and the 200 and 400 IM).

European Champions Fran Halsall of Great Britain and Italian Federica Pellegrini will both be competing in five events. Halsall is entered in the 50 and 100 freestyle, 50 and 100 backstroke and the 50 butterfly. Pellegrini is set to swim the 100 and 200 freestyle, 200 breaststroke and the 200 and 400 IM.

Other top females in the field include American Megan Romano and French teammates Coralie Balmy and Charlotte Bonnet.

The men’s side will be highlighted by the 50 freestyle and 50 butterfly. The 50 freestyle will include Florent Manaudou, Jeremy Stravius and Frederick Bousquet of France, George Bovell of Trinidad and Tobago, Cesar Cielo of Brazil, Shinri Shioura of Japan and Italians Lucca Dotto and Filippo Magnini.

The 50 butterfly will include Cielo, Dotto, Bousquet, Manaudou, Mehdy Metella of France and Ukrainian Andrey Govorov.
