Last year, the Illini went to St. Croix for their winter training trip, and in 2018, the destination was Tucson, Arizona and the University of Arizona. Sophomore Molly Hein once again has assembled a video of the team’s trip, which included swimming, hiking, sunning, farming, and some valiant, if futile, efforts to tag the flags.
Illinois’ swam their first meet back in a two-day tri against Iowa and Notre Dame this weekend, and will head to Lincoln, Nebraska next weekend. They’re building toward the Big Ten Championships, which will be held from February 14th-17th in Columbus, Ohio. Illinois finished 12th out of 13 teams at last year’s Big Ten Championship meet.
