Hosszu, Peaty and Hoshi Just a Few of the Stars to Compete in Vichy

This year’s French Open in Vichy will be the final test for many of the world’s top swimmers before heading into their final preparations for Rio. There will be five World Championship gold medalists racing in Vichy including Florent Manaudou and Camille Lacourt of France, Hungarian Katinka Hosszu, Adam Peaty of Great Britain and Natsumi Hoshi of Japan.

There will also be three Olympic gold medalists from the 2012 Games in London in the field including Frenchman Yannick Agnel, Cameron van der Burgh of South Africa and Ranomi Kromowidjojo of the Netherlands.

There will also be four other individual medalists from Kazan including Jazz Carlin of Great Britain, Italian Federica Pellegrini and Polish swimmers Jan Switkowski and Radoslaw Kawecki.

The French contingent will also include Coralie Balmy, Charlotte Bonnet, Frederic Bousquet, Fabien Gilot, Clement Mignon, Jeremy Stravius and Mehdy Metella.

Other notable athletes in the field will include Dutch swimmers Femke Heemskerk, Inge Dekker, Marrit Steenbergen and Sebastiaan Vercshuren, Hungarians Evelyn Verraszto and David Verraszto, Italians Fabio Scozzoli and Luca Dotto, Shinri Shioura and Kosuke Hagino of Japan, Chris Walker-Hebborn, Fran Halsall, Liam Tancock and Michael Jamieson of Great Britain as well as Therese Alshammar of Sweden and Serbian Velimir Stepanovic.
