The Air Force women have picked up a cluster of commitments, with Rheagan Horne, Morgan Hicks, Allie Puskar-Beckett, and Winnie Chen all announcing their intentions to join the team next fall.
All 4 swimmers will bring depth to the team in the sprint freestyles, where they each have a time in the 24.2-range. At USAFA, they’ll team up with Elise Hart, who scored at the 2016 Mountain West Championships in the 50 freestyle.
Hicks, a swimmer for the Cardinal Community Swim Club, attends Yorktown High School in Indiana. Her versatility gives the coaches the option to use her in a range of events, including the 100s of each stroke and the 50 free.
Hicks’ Best Times:
Last season, Hicks swam her way to a top-16 finish in both the 50 free and 100 breast at the 2016 Indiana Girls State Championships. At the Indiana Girls Sectional Championships, she clocked new best times in the 50 free (24.26), 100 fly (57.40), and 100 breast (1:04.90).
