High School Junior Ana Fleming Swims Best Time at Round Rock, Texas Invite

2020 South Texas AQTX Round Rock Unclassified Invite

  • September 18-20, 2020
  • Micki Krebasch Pool, Round Rock, Texas
  • Short Course Yards (25 yard)
  • Meet Results

A group of 6 teams, including South Texas Swimming’s largest club Nitro, assembled last weekend at an outdoor meet hosted by the Aquatex Swim Team.

Competition results were divided into age groups ranging from 10 & unders up to a 15 & over ‘senior’ age group.

The 15 & over girls were the highlight of the results, especially the sprint group from the Western Hills Athletic Club.

17-year old WHAC swimmer KyAnh Truong won the 50 free (23.27), 100 free (51.21), and 100 fly (54.90) at the meet. For the Duke commit and 2020 Texas High School State Championship runner-up, those times in the 50 and 100 free were within a second of her lifetime bests of 22.69 and 50.26, respectively.

In all 3 of those events, she out-raced her teammate and high school junior Ana Fleming, who swam 23.49, 52.84, and 55.57, respectively. Specifically, that 100 fly time was a new best for Fleming by a tenth-of-a-second.

Fleming also swam an alternate 13 & over 50 free event where she was 23.35.

While Fleming is also 17, she’s just a high school junior who has not yet announced her college commitment.
