USA Diving announced today that it will host a high dive event at the 2021 Winter National Championships. This feet-first, 10-meter exhibition event will be the first instance of the two disciplines coming together in one championship meet.

“As the sport of high diving continues to gain traction around the world en route to becoming an Olympic event, we are thrilled to see the forward-thinking of USA Diving with this feet-first exhibition event at Winter Nationals,” writes Steven LoBue, 2017 FINA High Dive World Champion.

“I couldn’t be more excited for the future of High Diving,” adds David Colturi, World Championships team member since 2013. “I’m looking forward to expanding our USAHD program from here, and to meeting the next generation of High Divers!”

The event will consist of three dives, feet-first only, performed from the 10-meter platform. The diver may choose any three dives, but must cover at least two groups. This event hopes to encourage athletes interested in a future in high diving.
