The third evening of the Scottish National Championships in Glasgow began with Roberto Pavoni winning the men’s 200 IM in a time of 2:01.84.
Pavoni currently ranks fifth in the world having recorded a 1:57.79 at the British Championships. He was followed by Lewis Coleman finished in a time of 2:02.89. Faser Minnican finished third in a time of 2:05.93.
Camilla Hattersley took her second event of the competition, winning the women’s 400 freestyle in a time of 4:14.10. Hattersley took the 800 freestyle on Friday evening.
14 year old Antoinette Neamt of Ireland collected the silver in a time of 4:16.68 beating her own lifetime best time of 4:17.02. Abbie Housten took home the bronze in a time of 4:20.32.
Mark Tully took the men’s 100 breaststroke in a time of 1:01.64 collecting both the win and the Scottish National Championship. Michael Jamieson, who the 200 breaststroke on Friday evening, earned the silver in a time of 1:01.88 followed by Richard Spoor who touched in a time of 1:02.40.
Although he did not compete in the final Adam Peaty had the quickest time of the day posting a 1:00.42.
Commonwealth Games 50 backstroke gold medalist Georgia Davies won the women’s 100 backstroke in a time of 1:01.06. Charlotte Evans finished second in a time of 1:02.89 followed by Scottish champion Kirsty Simpson who touched in a time of 1:03.08.
Molly Renshaw won the women’s 200 breaststroke in a time of 2:28.01. She was followed by Olivia White who finished in a time of 2:30.17. Corrie Scott collected the Scottish Championship in a time of 2:30.98.
Craig McNally took the gold and the Scottish Championship in a time of 2:01.71. McNally got his hand on the wall just ahead of Jonathan Carlilse for the gold. At the halfway mark Carlilse was almost a full second ahead of McNally, but lost ground in the final 100 meters finishing in a time of 2:01.85.
Callum Barrett collected the bronze in a time of 2:03.91.
Andrew Weatheritt won the men’s 50 freestyle in a time of 22.80 followed by Jack Thorpe who hit the wall in a time of 22.92. Orion Young won the Scottish Championship and collected the bronze in a time of 23.20.
Emma Wilkins took the women’s 50 butterfly in hitting the wall in a time of 27.33. Raquel Matos of Scotland won the silver in a time of 27.60 followed by Tain Bruce who finished in a time of 27.75.
