Charles Vaughan

“I am incredibly fortunate to be apart of the Harvard family. Harvard provides, arguably, the best environment to grow as a student-athlete in the world. When I was on campus I felt at home, and the guys on the team have brought me in like one of their own. Along with the guys, Coach Tyrrell and Pitter will continually push me to new heights as an athlete and help me grow to become a better person. I can not wait to see what the future holds. Thanks to everyone who has been with me along the way.” [sic]

Vaughan swims for Carmel High School and Carmel Swim Club. He is the reigning IHSAA Boys Swimming/Diving state champion in the 200 IM (1:48.13) and runner-up in the 100 breast (55.23). He was a B-finalist in the 200m breast (16th) at 2016 Speedo Summer Juniors and also competed in the 100m breast (22nd) and 200 IM (34th). His top SCY times are:

  • 100 breast – 55.23
  • 200 breast – 1:58.25
  • 200 IM – 1:48.11
  • 400 IM – 3:54.67

Vaughan would have scored in the B finals of all four of his top events at the 2016 Ivy League Men’s Championships.

*IVY LEAGUE DISCLAIMER: A “verbal commitment” by a coach is not an offer of admission, as only the Admissions Office has that authority. An Ivy League coach can only commit his or her support in the admissions process.
