Anna Verlander of Dynamo Swim Club in Georgia has verbally committed to Northeastern University for fall 2022. She’s a junior at Druid Hills High School.
I am so excited to announce my verbal commitment to Northeastern University!!! I chose Northeastern because of their top academic standards, awesome swim team, and beautiful campus. I cannot wait to join them in 2022! GO HUSKIES!!!

At the 2020 Georgia HS 1-5A State Championships, competing in the 4A/5A division, Verlander finished fourth in the 100 back and sixth in the 50 free.
All of Verlander’s lifetime bests are from December 2020 or later, so she’s been on an improvement curve the last few months.
During the 2019-20 season, the last time Northeastern swam a full season (they only had a couple meets this season and didn’t swim at the conference meet), Verlander would’ve been their #2 backstroker in both events. She’s already at CAA A-final speed in the 100 back, while she’s in B-final range in the 200.
In Northeastern’s impressive class of 2026, Verlander joins Cambria Semmen, Regan Miller, Elisabeth Bendall, Kotoko Blair, Marcela Scaramuzza and Teagan Osga.
