Georgia High School State Cahmpion Abby McCulloh has verbally committed to Auburn University. Currently a junior at Parkview High School near Atlanta, McCulloh will arrive on campus in the fall of 2021.
I am super excited to announce my verbal commitment to continue my academic and athletic pursuits at Auburn University. I am so grateful for the constant support and encouragement from my family, friends, coaches, teammates, teachers, and second swim family because none of this would be possible without each and every one. 🐅This commitment continues a bit of a pipeline from SwimAtlanta to Auburn, though a program as big and successful as SwimAtlanta has pipelines to several colleges. Current Auburn Tigers Jane Johnson, Devan Sweeney, and Lleyton Smith all trained with SwimAtlanta as preps.
In February of 2019, as just a sophomore, McCulloh won the Georgia 6-7A (big school) state titles in the 200 free (1:49.04) and 500 free (4:48.21). A year earlier, as just a freshman, she finished 2nd in the 500 and 3rd in the 200.
