Finland Names Team for SC World Championships

Finland has named its team for the upcoming FINA World SC Championships in December. Highlighting the 10-swimmer roster are Olympians Matias Koski and Ari-Pekka Liukkonen on the men’s side and Mimosa Jallow and Jenna Laukkanen on the women’s side. Koski and Liukkonen make up two of the three Finnish men (the other being Matti Mattson) to swim in Rio. Laukkanen, meanwhile, was the highest finishing Finnish woman in the pool in Rio– she qualified for the 200 breast semifinals, where she touched 14th overall.

Joining the eight individual swimmers are Emilia Bottas and Hanna-Maria Seppällä as relay-only swimmers. The roster, as well as the full announcement by Finnish federation Suomen Uimaliitto, is available here.
