FINA World Championships Official Song, The Single Drops June 21st – Video

You’ve been waiting for it…on the edge of your seat…and now…finally…it is here.

The FINA World Championships Official Song

What do you think? SwimSwam wants to know.

Is this a good effect by FINA? Has FINA marketed swimming (and all aquatic sports) well?

Personally, I like the video city tour. It brings back memories, but I have got to be honest… Nothing about this video makes me excited for the 2013 FINA World Championships. Then again, this could simply be the video for the band. I don’t know.

Looks like they attempted to tear a page from the Georgia Bulldogs Harlem Shake.  You know, some felt the Harlem Shake was too crazy, not representative of swimming. When I hear that, I know the person probably never suffered through hardcore doubles + weights for years on end. When you live through that sort of work, this is what happens to you…

If you’ve seen a FINA video that inspires you as a swimmer, please share. We would love to see FINA be successful at marketing aquatic sports and we will gladly post any FINA marketing campaigns on swimswam.

I agree with you, Mel. Makes me want to travel there, but attend a high-level aquatic competition? Not really. Cameos from swimmers going to the meet would have been a good start.
