Empire KC Swim Club, Club Huskers, Win Lincoln Sectionals

2017 LINCOLN SECTIONALS

Most of the college swimmers (the hosts from Nebraska being the exception) went home before Saturday’s finals session, which left the last day of the Lincoln Sectionals for the juniors.

Cal commit Dannie Dilsaver and Texas A&M commit Caroline Theil went 1-2 in the 200 IM, swimming 2:19.31 and 2:19.93, respectively. The two are teammates at Greater Nebraska Swim Team.

15-year old Alexander Ware won the men’s 50 free in 24.42. That’s his new lifetime best – dropping two tenths in total between prelims and finals.

Other Day 4 Winners:

  • Nebraska’s Kaylyn Flatt won the women’s 1500 free in 17:34.58 – beating out SwimTulsa 17-year old Liberty Howell by a tenth of a second.
  • Daniel Seabugh from River City Aquatics won the men’s 1500 free in 16:35.25. He’s another 15-year old.
