The Eindhoven Swim Cup which runs from April 2nd-5th will see many of the world’s best go head to head for individual championships.

Sarah Sjostrom, Ranomi Kromowidjojo, Femke Heemskerk and Inge Dekker face off in both the 50 and the 100 freestyle.

Sjostrom and Heemskerk will go head to head once again in the 200 freestyle.

Hungarian Boglarka Kapas will be the favourite in the distance freestyle events. Irish teenage standout Antoinette Neamt will also be competing in both the 400, 800 and 1500 freestyle events.

Sjostrom, Kromowidjojo and Dekker will face off once again in the 50 butterfly. Sjostrom and Dekker will battle in the 100 butterfly as well.

Hungarian Zsuzsanna Jakabos will be the favourite in the 200 butterfly and 400 IM and will battle Heemskerk for the title in the 200 IM.

Sjostrom took the 50, 100 and 200 freestyle and the 100 butterfly at last year’s event and will look to repeat that feat. Sjostrom’s Swedish teammates Michelle Coleman and Jennie Johansson, who both collected gold, will not be competing in this year’s event.

On the men’s side South African Cameron van der Burgh will be vying for the titles in all three breaststroke events. He will be challenged in the 50 and 100 by Serbian Caba Siladji and Damir Dugonjic of Slovenia.

In 2014 Serbian Velimir Stjepanovic won the 200 and 400 freestyle as well as the 200 butterfly, but finished second in the 100 freestyle. He will be looking to collect all four gold this year as he will be competing in the same events.

Hungarian Laszlo Cseh will challenge Stjepanovic in the 200 butterfly and will also be eyeing the top of the podium in the 100 butterfly and the 200 and 400 IM.
